My Review

Teach Me To Love (Teach Me, #2)Teach Me To Love by Alannah Carbonneau

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

NOTE: Although this book is about a different couple in this series. I highly recommend you first read Teach Me to Live (Teach Me – Book 1) Teach Me To Live. You need to learn the beauty and the essence of Austin and how he affected all the characters. Now having said that, here goes my review.

Teach Me To Love is book 2 of the Teach Me series. The story of Kaiden and Raina; they grew up together, their mothers were best friends. They were best friends and although unspoken, their feelings for each other went deeper. But, sometimes life has other plans. After an event that affected his life deeply, Kaiden goes on a journey throughout Europe to heal and to find himself. He disappears for 9 months without any communication with Raina. Then one day he comes back. A changed man and ready to start living and loving. This is a beautiful and very sweet friends to lover summer romance. Kaiden has to proof himself worthy of loving Raina and of loving himself.

Kaiden had built a wall around himself and did not let others in. He was a “man whore” with a different girl everyday. No attachments. Raina is a free spirit. A lover of nature. They always had feelings for each other, but they never crossed the line. Kaiden’s actions hurt Raina, but she treasured their friendship and never spoke of her feelings.

This story is about two souls finding each other and opening up to love. Made my heart happy and I shed some tears. But, it’s a beautiful story.

One of my favorite scenes:

“I don’t think there was a day I didn’t want you since I fell in love with you.”
“When did you fall?”
“Years ago.”
“Beautiful, I have years to make up for.”
“You don’t. This is where we were always supposed to be-this moment, right here beneath these stars is where we were always meant to begin. Please don’t take that away from us with regrets for the past. Everything we were has led us here-and I wouldn’t trade this moment for the world.”

I was provided with an ARC by the author in exchange for my honest review.

The Duality Principle

I just finished reading this book and it's a definite MUST READ!! It is light, fun and with a bit of steam!

The Duality Principle

Sometimes A + B = O. Yes. Oh, yes. Just like that.

Gabriella Evans’s life exists in terms of logic and definitions. She’s holed up in Portland, Maine, for the summer to work on her PhD thesis, but something is screwing up her concentration: the rumble of a motorcycle every time the embodiment of her rough-and-tumble fantasies rides down her street.

When her best friend talks her into a blind date, she finds herself out with the opposite of her fantasy. He’s polite and well-mannered, yet something behind his crisply tailored shirt doesn’t add up—a rebellious gleam in his eye that piques her curiosity.

Orphaned at fifteen, Connor Starks has finally put the years of failing grades, breaking laws and breaking hearts behind him. The only holdover? His penchant for getting down and dirty in public places. But Gabriella makes him want to prove he’s become a better man.

Nothing intrigues Gabriella more than a problem she can’t solve. But the more Connor tries to bury his past, the more determined she is to uncover it. And what she finds makes all her trusty logic begin to fail her…

Warning: This book contains a summer romance, dirty talk, dockside kissing, motorcycles and tattoos. Features a rebellious nerdy girl with an appetite for outdoor sex and light spanking, and a bad boy who’s turned good…or at least he’s trying.

MY REVIEW
Neon

I loved and enjoyed this book; it’s a fun, sexy read. I finished reading it last night and I’ve gone back several times to read different sections that I totally love! It is one of those books that you keep thinking about after you read it and the scenes play out in your head, bringing a smile to your lips.

Gabriella Evans is smart, blond, nerdy, logical and pretty. She is attending M.I.T. working on her PhD in mathematics. But, there is a side of Gabriella that nobody seems to know or understand. She keeps this side hidden and bottled up. She wants to explore and bring out her naughty side, the rebel with a piercing, a tattoo, and lusting after a bad boy on a motorcycle. Her hidden side wants wild sex, dirty talk, spanking, hair pulling; and to have fun in a public place. She hasn’t been able to find a man that can enjoy or bring out her hidden side; a man that can make her lose control.

Connor Starks is tall, brown hair, blue eyes; with curly chin length hair. This bad boy is trying hard to be good. He wants his past to stay in the past. He feels he needs to hide his bad boy side. After meeting Gabriella, he feels that the only way he can be with her is by being a good guy, a gentleman.

This is a beautiful story of 2 people trying to be true to themselves, but end up hiding for fear of rejection. Sometimes others see us for who we are; better than we see ourselves. Gabriella’s friend, Jamie, sets her up with Connor. As you read the story you will find out why. Connor’s grandmother lets him know it’s OK to be yourself, especially with the right person. Rebecca Grace Allen does a fantastic job writing this story; it engages you from the beginning. I loved all the characters and I definitely loved the Principle of Duality, the naughty and nice! I would love to read more of Gabby and Connor.

Dominic Powers

Some say that Karma is a bitch. I can say from experience that a betrayed Dom is much worse than a bastard ever thought about being.

They think they played me. I denied the man inside me his rightful place and was mistaken for a fool. When I’m done with them, they will feel the lash of her Dom’s lesson.

This isn’t over.

My Review

4-Stars

This story is the continuation of Dominic & Sophia’s story. The first book left us feeling lost and saying OMG! Now the plot thickens and the story concludes. Harrison’s attempts at getting Dominic escalate and Sophia is trying to get Dominic to hear her side of the story. Dominic has a good team on his side trying to find out who is helping Harrison ruin him. But even they are taken by surprise. So hang on; this story takes twists that will have you suspecting everyone and then shocked to find out who is the true culprit.

I don’t want to divulge any more; I want you to enjoy every bit of the suspense. Things are not always what they seem; there is always more to the story than meets the eye. In this story you will see the results of love, hatred, revenge and forgiveness play out.

Characters: From the good to the bad, they were all perfect in their roles. You love the good ones and hate the evil ones; exactly how it’s supposed to be.
Plot: Good twists and turns. Keeps you on edge of your seat; there are times when you need to stop and get your bearings.
Romance: Beautiful. Dominic is a thoughtful, loving and caring Dom.
Sex: HOT!
Do I recommend this book? YES!

My Review-Tyler (Inked Brotherhood 2) by Jo Raven

Tyler (Inked Brotherhood, #2)Tyler by Jo Raven

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Inked Brotherhood continues…..WOW compelling and heart wrenching.

Tyler (Inked Brotherhood Book 2)

Tyler, WOW!! What a guy. Tyler made the decision to leave home thinking it would be for the best. He abandoned his little brother Asher and his girlfriend, Erin. He comes back wanting to make things good between them and it’s not an easy decision. The relationship between him and Asher is non-existent; Asher wants nothing to do with him. Erin still loves him, but how can she forgive him, he just left.

Book 2 reveals Tyler’s suffering, his hell, and his demons. All I can say: what a great guy. He had a very tough past. This story is very real, deals with abuse at the hands of someone you are supposed to trust. He had no one to protect him. Sometimes we make decisions thinking they are for the best, only to find out they were not. How do we take these decisions back? How do those that were affected by your decision forgive?

Read this book, it is a compelling and realistic story. Jo Raven continues with the stories of the Inked Brotherhood in a beautiful and compassionate way. Although these stories are stand-alone, I find it best to start with Book 1, the story of Asher. They are intertwined; it will give you better understanding of all the characters and what makes them who they are. Not necessary and you won’t be lost if you don’t read them in order, but reading them all will enrich your experience.

My Review – Asher (Inked Brotherhood Book 1) by Jo Raven

Asher (Inked Brotherhood, #1)Asher by Jo Raven

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bad boys to love! A beautiful story. A MUST READ!!!!

Asher (Inked Brotherhood Book 1)

A group of friends, 5 young men and 5 young women; bound together by their friendship, love and suffering. They have flaws and are broken. Book 1 introduces us to Asher and Audrey. They used to be best friends; he was her first kiss and then he turned his back on her and broke her heart. Tragedy strikes and Audrey moves away, returning after 3 years. Time and distance should ease feelings and desires; Audrey soon finds out that is not the case.

Asher covers up his suffering with the bad boy persona, but that is only his way of dealing with the abuse. Deep down he is still that boy Audrey kissed. When Audrey comes back they slowly work their way back to each other. It’s not an easy path and there will be moments of anxiety.

Jo Raven has written a beautiful and real story. It is a heart wrenching story full of hope. The writing flows nicely and draws you in. The other characters are introduced, giving us a glimpse of their stories to come.

Buy this book today, you will fall in love with the Inked Brotherhood and hold them in your heart.
