Synopsis
Skylar Nixon is a twenty-seven year old failed actress with no Plan B. When she runs into former classmate Sebastian Pryce, she can’t believe the hot body and chiseled jaw belong to the shy, troubled loner she knew ten years before. He’s not exactly friendly at first, and she’s heard the rumors about his tragic past, but something in his sad eyes intrigues her. She only wants to get to know him better.
Until the night she wants more—and takes it. (Hard and deep. Twice.)
Are they just two lonely people seeking solace? Or can a disgraced beauty queen and flawed, frustrated man find some sort of happy ever after?
**SOME SORT OF HAPPY is a full-length, dual POV novel, complete with a happy ending.**

It’s a summer fling; just keep telling yourself that and you’ll be alright. This thing with Mason Pierce, it’s just a fling, something fun to pass the time. He’s a rebound from the disastrous breakup, a band-aid, a patch over a wound that will help the hurt heal, right? ~Red

If someone had told me two months ago that I’d be spending the summer with Red Summers in my arms, I’d have called them crazy, but here I am and here she is. Life is just about as perfect as it can be. Except, it feels like she’s pulling away instead of drawing closer. Everyday, it seems that Red is putting more and more distance between us, and I don’t understand why. ~Mason

“I’ve loved you since you were ten years old. Hell, I may have loved you before that, but I don’t remember. I’ve only ever wanted you, Red. I’m never going to want anyone else,” I vow. “Just you.”

5-Stars

I want to start by saying that “I am in love with Mason”. He is hot, sweet and loving. The characters in this series are a good group; they have known each other since they were kids. So they know everything about each other, but yet there are secrets. Then you have the other kids, the mean girls and the jerk ex-boyfriend. But, they all play their role in the story.

“Mason only has a couple of more weeks before he has to get back to Norman for the start of fall training. His life has to return to normal, the before me sort of normal, and I have to figure out what my normal is because the normal before June doesn’t exist any longer. It will never be again. Somehow, I need to come to terms with that.”

In book 3 Red and Mason continue their summer romance; but they have something to say to each other and neither one seems to be able to say it.  Red has a secret. Mason is afraid to tell Red what he wants for their relationship once summer is over.

“It’s on the tip of my tongue to tell him, tell him my biggest secret, the one no one knows, the one that may ruin what we have.”

“So, let me get this straight, you are scared to tell Red how you feel because you are afraid of losin her, but if you don’t ever find a pair and tell her, you’re gonna lose her anyway.”

The gang has some great summer fun.

Mary Lou seems to have found her match in Monroe. Will she let her walls down?

An old friendship is rekindled.

A new couple emerges. Surprise!!

But it’s not all love, fun and games.  A secret from the past is revealed, will it change things for Red and Mason? Will another friendship be ruined?

There were anxious moments where I stopped reading and sent out private messages…threatening to show up with a pitchfork! Moments of crying out loud “NO!!!” But, I was asked to have faith; so I am practicing having faith and I am patiently strumming my fingers waiting to find out what will happen.

“It’s only ever been you, Red.”

Now, Mary Lou thinks I need a night of fun and adventure. I agree to go out, planning to get her off my back, but when I find myself in Mason Pierce’s arms, I’m thanking my lucky stars, and my best friend. ~Red

Freemont, Oklahoma, is the last place on the whole damned planet that I want to spend my summer and working on my parents’ ranch is the last thing I want to do, but damned if that’s not what I’m doing. After finding his brother’s journal, and discovering more about Last Resort, Ethan is determined to find out if this place is one of those “too good to be true” places that turn out to be a scam. EXCERPT

“Are you going to stare at the door all night or are you going to come in here and explain what I just walked in on?” Christine’s shout from the living room pulled me out of my stupor. I turned and walked to the couch. When I sat down, I curled my legs underneath me and hugged one of the pillows. I didn’t know what to say. I wavered between showering Noah’s scent off of me and reliving the whole scene with my sister. She waited a few heartbeats, letting me settle, before making me spill.

“Alright Banana, I’ve given you a minute. Now, tell me again how you’re not interested in dating Noah? You seemed pretty interested as the two of you were eye fucking all night and I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to suck face with guys you don’t want to date.” She quirked her lips and held back the laughter I knew was bubbling up inside her.

“There was no eye fucking and what you walked in on was a momentary lapse in judgment. He took me by surprise, is all, and it won’t happen again. I don’t have time and I won’t have a parade of men in and out of Roman’s life. This isn’t even worth talking about.” I was angry now; angry at Noah for kissing me, yes, but more angry that I let him. Hell, I did more than let him. Now I was knocked off kilter, feeling too much about someone I had just met. My world had spun out of control. It was one hell of a kiss though.

“You know sis, it’s ok to be a priority too. You are the best mom Roman could ask for. No one is asking you to stop being that for him. We just want you to take care of yourself too. You deserve it, honey. I know you don’t want me to say it, but I’m going to anyway. Henry would be so disappointed that you are holding yourself back. He never would have wanted you to be lonely. You have to believe that.” Tears filled both of our eyes; I knew she was right.

“I’m so afraid, Chris. So many things could go wrong, and it won’t be just me that suffers. I need to think of Roman. Maybe if Noah is willing to go slowly, really slowly, maybe it could work.” I stood and walked over to her, giving her a hug. “I need to sleep. It’s been a big night.” She nodded at me and I turned to go to my room. Shutting the door, I let silent tears stream down my face.

Sam is bound and determined to protect Mason herself, no matter the cost, but what if the cost is beyond her imagination? What if this time, the villain wins?

Excerpt One

She was confident. She moved with purpose.

It hit me how much she changed from when she’d moved in with Analise. She’d lost everything. She hadn’t cared about anything, and she had been a badass because of it—striking out, not giving a shit. Logan and I took her in, and then she had something to lose—me. She got scared. She was pushed around by the girls and bullied by her own mother, and through all that crap, she’d still fought. She’d clawed her way back up, protecting and loving Logan and me at the same time.

Good god. I wanted to pull her on top of me. I wanted to lose myself in her.

When I sat on the couch, Sam had a knowing grin, and she sat right where I wanted her, right where maybe she shouldn’t have. My hands held her hips as she straddled me. She looped her arms around my neck and rested her forehead to mine.

Her grin never dimmed, not even as she teased, “Why do I feel like we’re in high school, and I don’t want my mom to catch us making out in the basement?”

Shit, I love this woman.

A smooth and lazy low laugh flitted from her lips. I waited for her to find my mouth with hers, but she didn’t.

She held back and her eyes traced over my face. “What happened today?”

I wasn’t going to tell her. More time. I needed more time.

fallen creast rb 4

Excerpt Two

I drew one of his fingers into my mouth. My tongue wrapped around it. I wanted to forget about my afternoon and how I was going to handle that situation. I wanted to get lost in his arms.

Seeing what I wanted, Mason tipped us both back, cradling me on his chest as he lay down. I was securely in his arms, and he rolled me over, so he was looming above me. His eyes darkened, holding my gaze before dropping to my lips where a small smile showed, and I let go of his finger. The ache for him already started inside me.

A knowing grin formed on his face, and without saying a word, he slipped from the bed to lock the door and flip the lights off. My heart started pounding. The need for him was rising between my legs, and I licked my lips, watching as he took his shirt off. He was all muscle. I could make out every single one of them as he came back to me. The flames were growing hotter and hotter. I wanted to slide my hands over every inch of him. I wanted to feel his weight on top of me. I wanted to feel him inside me.

I wanted him to break the fucking bed for me.

young passion lovers kissing on bed

Excerpt Three

A shiver went down my back. I hadn’t thought it would get that ugly, but Logan was right. There had been an attempted hit-and-run. A house was burned down. And those had been the opening acts.

Shit got real.

I sucked in my breath. My hand flattened against my stomach—no, that was Mason’s arm. I moved closer to him, edging forward, as Logan was talking. Mason held me back.

I moved back a step, and he glanced down at me. There was a question in his depths. Was I okay?

I nodded, feeling my pulse skyrocket, as Logan’s voice kept repeating, “Prison,” in my mind.

“You think that’s where this is going?”

Logan craned his head to the side. “We’ve been on campus for two days, and both days, we’ve run into you. I don’t think it’s a coincidence, and I think you’re stupid to pretend that they were.”

“What are you saying?”

“Nothing.” Logan looked around to the crowd. “Just telling you that we have no delusions where this is going and that we’re not underestimating you.” He glanced to Mason.

“Though, I agree with my brother. I think you’re underestimating us.”

Logan is stalling.

The realization hit me like a ton of bricks. So was Mason. That was why his anger subsided.

They were waiting for something. I studied Sebastian, and I noticed he was, too. No one was making a move against the other. The crowd grew more restless. They were like me, waiting for the fun to happen—not that it was fun. If this was a preview of what was to come throughout my entire freshman year, this was going to give me a heart attack by the end of the year.

fallen crest rb 2

Excerpt Four

In ten.

“I’m not sure if you’re aware of this threesome dynamic,” Logan started.
Sebastian’s eyes narrowed. Logan was too cocky, too sure of himself. Sebastian’s head lifted to the side as he kept skirting among all three of us.

Nine.

I was next to my brother. They came from the basement section of the bookstore, so Sebastian was blocking his friends from us. His three friends were down a few steps, too far but close enough where they could catch Sebastian.

Eight.

Logan continued, “But the three of us…” He gestured to all of us. “Well, technically, it’s the Fearsome Foursome with Sam, but she’s not here.” His tone lowered, growing more serious. “And she’s not a part of this, so I guess, right now, you can call us the Threesome Fearsome.”

Seven.

Sebastian was almost ignoring my brother. He was solely focused on me. Fine. I let him see the threat in me and murmured, “My brother’s not kidding, you know.”

Logan quieted, edging back so that I was now in the front.

“About what?” His tone was clipped.

Sebastian knew. He was remembering Logan’s threat.

I reminded him. “Your sister. Your girlfriend.”

Six.

“I don’t have either one of those,” Sebastian shot back.

Logan piped in, “But there’s someone.”

I added, “There’s always someone.”

Sebastian grew silent, looking between the two of us.

Five.

Nate spoke up, “They’re talking about who’s vulnerable to you, Sebastian.”

“You shut up,” Sebastian snapped at him. “You left the house. You don’t deserve the right to talk to us.”

His three friends got riled up at that. They moved forward, and I started eyeing the big one closest to Sebastian.

He was a big motherfucker.

Four.

“Nate never should’ve been with you,” I said, commanding all of their attention. We were close. The camera would rotate back. I wanted their focus on me, not Logan. “That was a mistake he rectified.”

Three.

Sebastian’s eyes narrowed to slits. “I’m going to make both of you sorry that you came back here.”

“What about me?” Logan smirked at him.

No. I wanted Sebastian watching me.

He turned. “I already tried to get your acceptance revoked.”

Well, holy shit, I hadn’t expected that response.

Two.

Logan opened his mouth. His eyes flashed in anger, and he was going to say something to piss Sebastian off. I blocked him. I needed Sebastian and friends’ eyes on me.

“Time’s up,” I said calmly, quietly.

It worked. They all turned to me, and Sebastian’s eyes widened. He started to rear back—

One.

I rushed forward.

tijan bio

I didn’t begin writing until after undergraduate college. There’d been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can’t blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I’m hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! And I hope you keep enjoying my future stories.

Being born into slavery, I never thought my owner, my very mother, would sell me. And she didn’t.

Until Matteo.

I was tormented, struggling to come to terms with my new life then he narrowed it down to two things.

Pleasure. Pain.

The man confused me at every turn with his unexpected and unattainable desires.

If only he’d speak to me.

If only he’d tell me how to avoid upsetting him.

If only I could please him.

A shiver ran through me. I was chained up in his basement. I’d never been restrained in such a way before. Madam never resorted to such means since she knew I never would’ve run. I had no desire to live free of enslavement. It was all I knew and all I wanted. However, feeling the cool breeze in the room and the even colder restraints on my skin made me wonder if maybe I had thought wrong all along.
“I can see from the look on your face that you’ve never been locked up before, and I see that’s where Madam went wrong with you. No, you didn’t want to escape, but you don’t know how to behave. No, you don’t truly know the extent to which a punishment can go. Don’t worry, that is going to change starting now. This will throw a wrench in my initial plans for you, but I refuse to let you go now. You are mine and will be forever, so get used to the idea.” Matteo leaned against the wall in front of me, sliding his hands into his pockets as if we were carrying on a completely normal conversation. He appeared entirely at ease while I struggled with all the new emotions flooding me. After a moment of staring at me, he pushed off the wall and stood close enough I could feel his body heat.
He reached down to pull his erection from his dress slacks. Sliding his hand over it slowly, he dragged the tip over my mouth.
“Suck it. Get me off and I’ll leave you alone for the remainder of the night. Fail to do so and I will start your punishment now,” he said as he shoved the hot, hard, musky flesh into my mouth.
I wanted to cry out that I thought the lashings from the belt had been my punishment. Instead, I sucked him down my throat and bobbed my head along his length the way he’d shown me he liked it done. The longer I sucked, the more my lips became numb and the more I realized that I really had no idea what being a slave was like.
Finally, he groaned and his release filled my mouth and throat before he pulled back. As he tucked himself into his pants again he yanked my hair so I was forced to look him in the eye.
“Welcome to the Italian Mafia way of life, bella.”

Mother by day. Writer by night. I spend a majority of my day with my children and reading while my nights are filled with the sound of the keyboard as I work on my next work.

I have written in nearly every LBGT category as well as the traditional erotic romance category.

I love to try new things and learn from every piece of work I write. I’ll write just about anything once to learn from it. I’ve even ventured out of my normal erotica genre into Monster Erotica. Doubt you’ll find me writing anything not erotic as you can barely get me to even read something out of that category, but then again, you never know what I might try next.

Never stop learning. Try everything at least once.

I’ve met boys like him before. Rich. Bored. Always wearing a silver-spooned smile. But there is something different about him that piques my curiosity. The way he looks at me, like he is staring through the bars of a gilded cage he’s never left. Like he is one breath away from suffocating beneath a mound of responsibilities. He is different from the rest because he doesn’t wear his money… his money wears him. I just don’t think he knows it yet.
She’s like nothing I’ve ever seen before. She’s everything I’ve never been able to be. Carefree. Whimsical. A dreamer. Her laugh is infectious. She is irresistible. I can’t help but be drawn to her with an intensity that steals my breath and muddles my senses. I want to know her, need to know her, but how can I allow myself that liberty when I don’t have the freedom to make my own choices?
Phillip and Maggie think they have it all. Even though they come from opposite backgrounds, they each have bright futures paved out, with no distractions holding them back.
Until the fateful day they meet each other.

After a brief, adventurous time together in The Hamptons, Maggie and Phillip find themselves saying goodbye just as the spark of love flashes intensely between them. Can their budding connection be enough to survive the pulling tides of change, or will they drift apart before they even have a chance to explore what could have been?

“I also wasn’t 100% sure what to expect from it after I read the synopsis, but it was very beautiful and developed so well! The plot also really surprised me! I wasn’t expecting the characters to be so different, but for their relationship to be so beautiful!” ~ Book Crazy

“I love this book and was gripped right the way through. I cannot thank Sonya and Candace enough for this story. I only hope they write many more together. They clearly have found a recipe for Success!!” ~ Goodreads Reviewer

“I loved the slow burn of the romance, and loved/hated the meddling that also went on throughout the book. (I don’t want to spoil it for others, so I won’t expand on this). There were quite a few twists and turns to the plot line which also kept me engaged.” ~ Read Love Repeat
