My Review-Even Money by Alessandra Torre

Even Money (All In Duet Book 1)Even Money by Alessandra Torre
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is another book to love. Another book I will add to my favorites. Another book I will add to my re-read list.

The writing and the story: Slow methodical rhythm and hypnotic gets into your head and your heart.

I was hooked from the start. This is the story of Dario and Bell. But, the other characters and the action going on around the main story are all an intricate part and they are were in my mind as I was enthralled with Dario & Bell’s story. The action kept me at the edge of my seat asking “Where is this going? What’s going to happen next?” I did not want to put it down, but I paced myself, because I didn’t want it to end.

The slow burn of Dario and Bell’s relationship, the thoughts and the unleashing: BAM! There was no going back.

Favorites:
“He turned to me, and in the direct eye contact, I felt unstable, a scrap of paper loose in a hurricane.”

“I’m worried…”
“Worried about what?”
“If I have you, I’ll never be able to let you go.”

“Ready?”
I didn’t know what I was supposed to be ready for, but I nodded. I nodded, and the man atop me exploded into action.

Thoughts that went through my head as I read:

Does Dario know what Robert is up to?
What the F**k!!!
OMG! I love Dario.
Will Gwen and Dario work this through?
Is Bell a badass – will she come out on top.
What an ending!! OH NO!!! Now what?
Counting down the days to June 18th when Double Down releases!!
